Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VinTraxx Automotive LLC ("VinTraxx", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the VinTraxx SmartScan mobile application and related services (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect the following categories of information to provide the App's features:

• Account information. Your email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), full name, and, for dealer accounts, your business details, logo, and labor rate.
• Precise location & GPS data. When you enable location, we collect your device's precise location and the GPS location of paired vehicle trackers to display vehicles on a live map and provide trip and tracking features.
• Vehicle & diagnostic data. VIN, vehicle details, OBD-II diagnostic readings, trouble codes, appraisals, and inspection reports you create.
• Photos & camera. Photos you capture or select for VIN scanning, vehicle appraisals, and inspections.
• Bluetooth data. We use Bluetooth to connect to your OBD-II scanner; we do not use Bluetooth to track your location.
• Device identifiers & push tokens. A push notification token and basic device information used to deliver alerts (for example, vehicle alarms) and to operate and secure the service.

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's diagnostic, appraisal, and tracking features.
• Authenticate you, secure your account, and send one-time verification codes.
• Display vehicles and trackers on a map and deliver real-time alerts and notifications.
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Google Maps Platform — to render maps and location features.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — to deliver push notifications.
• Service providers — hosting and infrastructure vendors that process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Legal & safety — where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of VinTraxx, our users, or the public.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App and comply with our legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data as described below, except where retention is required by law.

You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data at any time, directly within the App:

• Open the App and sign in.
• Go to Settings → Delete account.
• Confirm the deletion.

Deleting your account removes your profile, scans, diagnostic reports, appraisals, inspections, device pairings, VIN usage records, and push tokens, and unpairs any GPS trackers associated with your account. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and hashed password storage, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and continuously improve our safeguards.

The App is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, use the in-app deletion flow or contact us at privacy@vintraxx.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. Material changes may also be communicated within the App.
